Harbor Freight, the nation’s leading discount tool retailer, will open its new location in Sanford (next to Lidl) on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the company told The Rant this week.
The official “grand opening” of the store will be May 8.
Located at 3243 N.C. 87, the 15,000-square-foot facility will house between 35 and 40 employees. Harbor Freight stocks more than 7,000 items, including automotive, air and power tools, shop equipment and hand tools. The addition of a Harbor Freight, which is based in California and operates more than 950 stores in 47 states, would be more than welcome and represent a continuation of the commercial growth that that part of Sanford has experienced in recent years.
There are several Harbor Freight stores in North Carolina already, including in Raleigh, Fayetteville, Durham, Asheboro, and Burlington.
