Beginning Monday, January 24, the Lee County Government Health Department will provide N95 masks to any Lee County resident who would like one.
Those interested in picking up masks may do so at the Health Department, located at 106 Hillcrest Drive in Sanford, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. An area will be designated on the first floor to pick up masks. A maximum of two N95 masks will be available per resident.
As a reminder, COVID-19 home test kits are now being provided by the Federal Government. Order your at-home COVID-19 test kits at https://special.usps.com/testkits.
Labcorp is also providing COVID-19 PCR at-home testing. More information may be found at https://www.ondemand.labcorp.com/nc.
“We understand many individuals are looking for resources to help protect themselves and their families during this pandemic and these resources will help to slow the spread of the virus,” said Lee County Health Director Heath Cain.
Is the Rant able to find out more information? Like, how many masks will be issued per person? The N-95 mask is only good for 3-5 uses and should only be worn for 3-4 hours at a time. Do we know how many will be issued or how often you can get replacements?
Thank you if this information is available somewhere.
“A maximum of two N95 masks will be available per resident.”
Thank you. So basically you will be issued enough masks for about one week worth of uses.
They should just save their money and out in air purification systems in our schools, huh?!
It is better than doing a feeble attempt at stopping the spread by issuing people enough masks to last one week at best.
when will the next masks be ready to pick up? we didn’t get any from the first distribution.
