You can vote for Kiwanis Park in Sanford to win $25,000 worth of new playground equipment through a contest sponsored by Kiwanis International.

The voting page for Kiwanis Park is here. According to the contest details, “the 10 submissions with the highest number of votes by noon EDT on May 31 will become finalists. A panel of judges will select the winning club, which will receive $25,000 in Landscape Structures playground equipment.”

According to the local submission, a 2016 survey of city residents 18 and older resulted in a “recommendation for a significant expansion of facilities at our Kiwanis Family Park.” Kiwanis Park is owned and maintained by the Lee County Parks and Recreation Department.
