So called “escape rooms” – attractions in which groups of people are supposed to work together to solve problems that allow them to escape from a (not actually) locked room – have become popular in recent years, and hey, according to Facebook, Sanford is getting one soon.
A social media page for “Rush Hour Escapes Sanford” posted a video this week of workers installing the company’s sign at a previously vacant storefront in the Stadium Center shopping center at Bragg Street and South Horner Boulevard.

According to a comment on the Facebook page, the business will first offer a “haunted estate theme.”
Rush Hour Escapes also has a Fuquay-Varina location, where it offers a “Medieval Heist” and an “Inheritance” challenge. The challenges last about an hour and cost around $25. There was no word on an official opening date.
