Southern Lee High School announced Friday afternoon via Twitter that additional deputies had been placed on campus after an unspecified threat – deemed “not credible,” according to the tweet – was made via social media.
No further details were provided, although with Friday being the 19 year anniversary of the school shooting at Columbine, Colorado, it’s understandable that all involved were on alert for anything unusual. In February, nearby SanLee Middle School had to have metal detectors on hand at a school dance after a threat was made toward that school.
