Camelback Brewing Company, the Sanford-based craft beer brewery in the works since 2017, has announced that it will open to the public in the Spring Lane Galleria shopping center on Wednesday, July 11.

Camelback will join a small but growing contingent of local craft beer outlets, including Hugger Mugger Brewing – which opened in January as Sanford’s first craft brewery – as well as Libations on Chatham, and the beer den at Lowes Foods.
Founder Mike Stec said he’s working to have four or five unique offerings, including an IPA, a brown ale, and an amber ale, ready for the opening. And in addition to the beer, Camelback will be unique among Sanford’s craft scene in that it will offer a full lunch and dinner menu, described by General Manager Randall Yow as “European bistro” fare including cheese melts, bratwursts, and sandwiches.
The Camelback Brewing Company will be open from 11 a.m.to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Although the brewery will be closed on Sundays to begin with, Yow said they’re considering plans to be open for brunch in the future.
