Southern Lee announced Monday that it hired David Lee as its next head baseball coach. He takes over from David Miller, who announced in July that he was leaving to take over the program at Northwood High School in Pittsboro.
It was unclear immediately whether Lee is the same coach who stepped down from the head baseball job at Watauga High School in Boone a year ago. That David Lee coached at West Stanly High School and Richmond Senior before coaching at Watauga.
