
Sanford Police acted fast on Wednesday in arresting a suspect in the triple shooting that occurred Tuesday night on Hall Street.
Antonio Leonel Gonzalez, 19, of Black Road in Lee County, has been charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury, and two counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property. He remains in custody at the Lee County Jail under a half million dollar bond.
The arrest occurred just before 9 p.m. Wednesday; the shooting took place around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said 16-year-old Kaniyah Wooten, 19-year-old Jacquan Burroughs, and 20-year-old Ishois Times were each shot as they stood outside a home at 1004 Hall Street between Rose and Makepeace streets off Woodland Avenue.
Police said Tuesday that Wooten was struck in the leg and released after receiving treatment, while Times was shot in the legs and lower body and listed in stable condition as of Wednesday morning. Burroughs who was struck in the leg, lower body and torso, had been listed in critical condition as of Wednesday morning.
There was no update from police as of Thursday morning about the condition of the victims.
