Vineland and Hickory, the home furnishing business which announced back in December that it would relocate to the old Big Lots building on Carbonton Road, will hold a grand opening at its new location 10 a.m. Saturday.

The celebration will include giveaways of $350 in store credit, a Home State Made gift basket, food, and more.

Previously located at 513 Wicker St., the company repurposes old furniture, sells antiques, and offers services including home decor and interior design, co-owner Ivy Childers told the Rant in December.

The new location had been empty since 2010 or 2011, when Big Lots vacated for a larger space in the old Walmart on South Horner Boulevard. After Steve and Kathy Brewer purchased the 16,000 square foot property in June, they began construction to renovate the building for Vineland and Hickory’s purposes – as well as to parcel out three additional retail spaces between 1,500 and 3,000 square feet each – in January.
