Lee County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man alleged to have tried robbing a convenience store on Tuesday night.
According to a press release from the office, the masked suspect is alleged to have gone into the Circle K convenience store at 3000 Jefferson Davis Highway around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, brandished a gun and demanded money. The clerk reportedly screamed when she saw the gun, at which point the suspect fled the store and left the area in gold four door vehicle. No one was injured.
The clerk said the suspect was white, 6 feet tall and 150 pounds with a tattoo on his lower right arm. He wore blue jeans, a gray t-shirt and a black cap.
