Drug agents with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested three men on Saturday after allegedly finding them in possession of more than two pounds of cocaine.
Narbel Garcia Sanchez, 35, and Jamie Rojas Mendoza, 46, both of 421 Goldsboro Avenue in Sanford, and 26-year-old Braelee Santana of Buford, Georgia, were charged after deputies executed a search warrant around 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the Goldsboro Avenue property and found 1,120 grams – equal to almost two and a half pounds – of cocaine, as well as a firearm. Deputies said the street value of the seized drugs is $200,000.
Santana faces multiple felony counts of trafficking cocaine, as well as a weapons charge. He was placed in the Lee County Jail under $200,000 secured bond. Sanchez and Mendoza both face a count of conspiracy to traffic cocaine and were jailed under a $50,000 secured bond each.
