Three people were injured, two seriously, in a Friday night shooting in east Sanford.

Sanford police reported being called around 8:40 p.m. Friday to a shooting at 428 Goldsboro Avenue and finding that three victims had already left the scene for treatment at Central Carolina Hospital. At the hospital, officers located Darrion Antwon McIver, 24, Marvin Levern Tucker, 46, and Steven Anthony Lyles, 63. All three were suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to a press release from the Sanford Police Department, all three “sustained gunshot wounds while in the yard on private property” at the Goldsboro Avenue address.

Tucker and Lyles were taken by life flight to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, where they were listed in stable condition as of the 7:49 p.m. Saturday press release. McIver was treated at CCH and released.

The department didn’t release any further information about the shooting other than to say “the investigation is ongoing.” Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Sanford Police Department at (919) 777-1051.
