Drug agents with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman Tuesday night after finding her possession of just less than an ounce of crystal methamphetamine as well as suboxone.

Crissdee Ward Ashley, 49, of 28 Vine Court in Sanford, faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver crystal methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver suboxone, maintaining a vehicle to sell drugs, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a press release, the department’s narcotics unit was doing surveillance on an unspecified location “in the southern part of the county” from which they had received numerous complaints when agents saw a truck with fictitious tags leave a house and drive away. After stopping the truck and identifying Ashley as the driver, agents said they obtained probable cause to search the truck by a “K9 sniff search” and located 26.84 grams – just less than a full ounce – of crystal methamphetamine and 10 dosage units of the opioid suboxone.

Ashley was also cited for having a fictitious registration. She was placed in the Lee County Jail under $25,000 secured bond.
