UPDATE: Early voting at both sites resumes at 10 a.m. on Friday.

ORIGINAL STORY: Early voting at Lee County’s two one stop sites will close early today due to inclement weather, according to Lee County’s Elections Director Parker Holland.

The Board of Elections site on Steele Street in downtown Sanford and the Cooperative Extension site on Tramway Road will close at 5 p.m. Early voting typically goes until 7:30 p.m.

Holland told The Rant that the Board of Elections voted last week to follow the county’s lead on any inclement weather decisions, meaning the status of the one stop sites on Friday is unclear as of this writing. The Rant will share any updates about Friday voting as they’re made available.
