Two more suspects in the August 2017 murder of Brennan McNeil were arrested on Friday, The Rant has learned. Both suspects played football at Shaw University in recent years.
Brothers Andrew Leron Cash, 24, and Aubrey Jamal Cash, 22, each face charges of murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Both men are listed as living on CL&P Access Road in Semora, North Carolina.

Rayshaad Smith of Durham was arrested on the same charges on Wednesday.
McNeil, 23, was killed in his home in the Deep River area in August of 2017. The sheriff’s office had offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The Sanford Herald reported Thursday that the reward would go uncollected.
Andrew and Aubrey Cash both played football at Shaw University in 2015 (Andrew also played in 2016 and 2017). Andrew played linebacker, recording 53 tackles for the Bears in his senior season. Both attended Person County High School.
Andrew and Aubrey Cash were jailed without bond.
Nobody cares about their academic background we wanna know why they killed BRENNAN!!!!
Amen I just said who wrote this article and put that info in there? It should not have been in there!
It should have been in there ! Football by day murder by night ! They know wtf they did!
The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much!!🙏🙏🙏❤
They do not have all the facts. People need to stop judging and being jewelry.
They really don’t have all the facts … how would these men know anything about a Sanford man without someone putting his name in there ear?? Ohhh okay something to think about right .. all for justice because none deserves to die under any circumstances but this story is making no sense
Are you Kiddin me who wrote this article????? I dont understand why they are putting them up on a pedastal because they played football….. WHO CARES….. they are cold blooded calculated murders who took a beautiful soul!!!!! It’s so sad prayers for their narcissistic, cold callous, uneducated way of thinking. I pray that God changes their hearts in time. I pray for Angie and the family. Praying for all of these familes unfortunately the hurt really begins, when the truth truley comes out!!! It just breaks my heart for our Young Generation that Murder is the only answer?????
It sounded like Brennan was the complete opposite. Whoever wrote this should have used those extra lines for him and to talk positive about how great of a son, brother and person Brennan was instead of using it to talk about how great these murderers are!!!!!!!
We dont need a play by play of the lives of these murders. Focus on the victim. Dont make these horrible people famous.
The victim is not this innocent angel
That’s a terrible thing to say.
I’m praying for all involved, think about it there are 4 victims. I know Brennan is the person the family can’t see, talk to or ever kiss again. My heart goes out to all involved.
Woww!!!! Where are all the Prayers for Brennan’s family, or the sorry’s? People are really saying free these boys… for what? They are murders. You don’t get prayers or sorry’s to murders, especially if it isn’t self defense. Nobody’s is an Angel, but these boys was known for robberies (but never got caught). People need to be mindful of what they say. Brennan has family also.
I agree. I live in Roxboro and I know to Cash boys. This was a shock but I still want justice for Brennan. It’s not about who you know but what’s right and wrong.
While it is true that a horrendous act has occurred and another Black young man lost his life, let us not rush to judgement. Everyone arrested is not guilty. This is something we know and have seen repetitively. Let’s pray for all involved and that the truth is main plain and clear. While there is, and should be, a cry for justice, let the system work and reveal the truth. The thing worse than loosing Bennan would be placing the responsibility on the wrong person/people.
FREE RAYSHAAD UNTIL THEY FREE YOU FUCK WHAT THESE PWOPLE SAYING YALL NEED TO TALK TO MICHAEL CHESERY OR WHATEVRR HIS NAME IS …
There is a mother and father that will never see or speak to their son again. The parents of these two boys get to see and talk to their sons may not be how they want but they still can. It saddens my heart to see people support murders and not once mention the young man whose young life was taken from him. Is this how we the people of Roxboro think…wow…if you are wrong you are just wrong and you can’t make nothing right in wrong. The police didn’t just arrest these two young men for no reason. And by the way I am from Roxboro. And I would also hate to think that the comment about “the victim is not this innocent angel” would come from their sister…a young man was killed please have a sense of decency that was such a horrible thing to say. This world is in such a sad state, to walk around almost three years living life, graduating from college, having kids while this young man lay in his grave no one can think that was right…no one. Let me be the first from Roxboro to say that I am praying for the McNeil family and all involved.
She’s no innocent angel herself. Lied and tried to make people think she was beaten half to death for no reason. She only told people what she wanted them to know but not the real truth. I’m sure she’ll think twice next time about letting her mouth write a check her a** can’t cash. So it doesn’t come as a real surprise to me about these two brothers. They were all always put on pedestals. Truth is, you never know what your kids may or may not do when they’re not around you.
Nobody was there to say what was what. The news & the judicial system isn’t always right so things like this shouldn’t even be posted until they KNOW they have their murderer, messing up ppl lives. These boys are innocent until proven guilty. Y’all commenting, bashing and sending threats isn’t any better. It is a sad situation & I’m Praying for both sides.
Praying for the victims family.
