The COVID pandemic isn’t stopping Lee County’s “geek” culture from celebrating this year, as the Lee County Library will host its now-annual “Pop Con” virtually on Saturday.
This year’s event, the full details of which you can read here, will be hosted on the libary’s Facebook page from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature actor Mark Ryan, who has voiced Bumblebee in some installments of the Transformers movie franchise and appeared in television series like “Robin of Sherwood” and “Black Sails.”
Other guests will include graphic designer, comic book author and illustrator Kelly Yates, Chip Sudderth, a North Carolina native who hosts a “Doctor Who” themed podcast, professional costume maker Michael Brandt, and Dan Johnson, a North Carolina native who is a comic book writer and publisher.
