Actress and political activist Alyssa Milano offered her support for local state representative candidate Jason Cain and four other Democrats in a Tweet to her 3.7 million followers on Wednesday.
“We must flip NC & stop the worst Republican party in the country,” Milano wrote in a Tweet that, as of Friday morning, had garnered more than 1,000 likes and 640-plus retweets.
We must flip NC & stop the worst Republican party in the country.

Cain is facing Republican incumbent John Sauls in the race for North Carolina State Representative, District 51.
According to the website Flip NC, Sauls is the favorite heading into November, listing District 51 as only “potentially flippable” for Democrats.
@CainForNC is an educator & vet running in rural NC. After 10 years in the Army, he worked for veterans affairs agencies & helped form a nonprofit combating the opioid epidemic. He now teaches political science at local colleges.

Why would anyone care about Allysa Milano’s opinion about NC candidates. No matter what side you are on.
I’m not sure someone who can’t manage to spell her name correctly would even understand.
Thanks grammar police-dbag
And by the way why don’t you enlighten us ignorant people in North Carolina why we would give a damn about the opinion of a Hollywood elitist so we can understand like you do
I think if you aren’t a resident of N.C. you should mind your business and worry about the state you are a resident of instead of sticking your “celebrity “ status were it isn’t needed or wanted. I don’t care what side of the party line you support, I would feel the same if a conservative “celebrity” did the same thing. We North Carolina rubes are smart enough to make our own decisions despite what others may think.
um interesting what republican celebrities would u say the same mind yr own business when it comes to NC???At the risk of reading yr mind which im sure u disagree and be assured i can’t and don’t want to know what goes on in yr brain i in my opinion i believe u would be praising that individual Ok now get ready attack my opinion and me …yawn yawn i’m sure ur response will be so predictable… oh and please point out to me my misspellings…
Amen BG
Celebrities know best. We should always value their opinion.
she seems to know what’s best why do so many NC residents fault her for her opinion? Cont to support ur party as the rest of us agree with her… God Bless NC as well as the rest of our country…
As I said before I just think if you aren’t making your home here, not your business.
No, I don’t care what you think about my party affiliations and I think you already know your spelling is an issue so I wouldn’t fault you more. I’m libertarian, by the way.
oh typical response oh and please point out my misspellings… so trivial u r… i’m glad u r a libertarian… i am surprised by your seemingly angry approach…
The matters of “Free Speech” and personal opinions are important here; especially now that we must deal with the “Cancel Culture” mentality that is prevalent today.
What I do not like about ALYSSA MILANO’s opinion was her negative statement about NC Republicans. She is entitled to her opinion but how does someone from California arrive at that conclusion.
The facts that Jason Cain was raised and educated in California should be red flags. Do we really want California politics here? The Florida governor stated that he loved New Yorkers, however he wanted them to leave their politics at home.
Obviously, when North Carolinians look at the state of affairs in California and New York we question why someone from California would criticize us. Statistically NC has one of the best state economies, job growth and collegiate systems in the country.
Politically, even though it seems our political parties are at odds, they have come together and helped NC be the envy of many states.
Mr. Cain is running against John Sauls. John is a respectable individual. It would be wrong to categorize him as a bad republican. Democrats would probably wish he was in their party.
Research your candidates this year before you vote. Do not accept what others tell you, especially outside parties. We are responsible for our own actions.
Amen
Well said
And please tell me how this qualifies as news worthy?
One should vote who one believes is best fit. I don’t care who or what someone else says about who I should support. I believe in reading about each one who thinks he/she is best fitted. I went to a support party for a candidate that I would have voted for, but after that I didn’t vote for them because they looked right through my wife and I. Take the time and meet and greet each candidate and see how they treat you and others during this time.
Hahahaha
