Lee County government announced 50 new COVID cases since Monday, bringing the total number of residents who have tested positive to 2,341.
Of those who have tested positive, 2,161 have recovered and 29 have died. 151 of the cases are active, a number which is up from 101 on Monday.
Identifying information about patients isn’t disclosed, but the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services COVID dashboard does have some demographic information. According to the dashboard, the rolling seven day average for new cases jumped from 9.29 on Monday to 11.43 on Thursday, while the percent positive rate decreased from 6.1 to 5.9 percent..
