
Sanford police seized eight pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Friday, according to a press release from the department.
Javier Pelagio, 26, of McGill Street in Sanford faces two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of possession a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and one county of possession of drug paraphernalia.
The press release didn’t indicate where the traffic stop took place.
Pelagio was placed in the Lee County Jail under $100,000 secured bond.
