The Sanford Farmers Market will return to downtown Sanford in the parking lot behind the Chatham Street Buggy Building on Saturday, kicking off a series of events sponsored by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension known collectively as “Ag Week.”

Through November, the Farmers Market will be open each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Ag Week, however, will feature a variety of events open to the public and designed to celebrate the market’s return, including a blueberry u-pick at Blueberry Hill from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25; a “Planting for Success” seminar at Watson’s Nursery from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27; an outdoor showing of Disney’s “Chicken Little” at the Cooperative Extension from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29, and much, much more.
