Downtown Sanford Inc. has released a map ahead of Saturday’s Downtown StreetFest & Fireworks, showing attendees where they can expect to find food trucks, breweries, live entertainment, and more.
Headlining the main stage on Wicker Street will be the Part Time Party Time Band, known for its upbeat variety of pop, beach and top 40 hits. Also playing will be the legendary Chairmen of the Board, with classic soul, rhythm and blues, Motown, and funk music, as well as local band the Simpletones. Main stage music starts at 2 p.m.
A second stage at Depot Park will showcase local talent starting at 2 p.m. with Triple Pointe Dance Academy. This full second-stage lineup includes King Kai, Dancers’ Workshop, Magetsi, Prime Time Dance Academy, the Temple Teen Ensemble, and Bryson Lyons Music.
StreetFest will also bring performances to Charlie Watson Lane. Black Belt Leadership Academy will demonstrate martial arts skills, Danza Azteca will perform traditional Aztec dances, and Tobacco Road Southern Drum will demonstrate traditional Lumbee dancing and drums. Imagine Circus’ performers will roam the streets.
Nearly 20 food trucks will be on hand, and local brewers Hugger Mugger and Wild Dogs will be joined by Siler City-based Thirsty Skull Brewing, Four Saints Brewing out of Asheboro, and James Creek Cider of Cameron.
Festivities kick-off at 1 p.m. and run all day, with a dance party hosted by DJ B Free in Depot Park after the live music ends. Fireworks will begin around 8:45 p.m., weather permitting.
