The Sanford Spinners’ final two regular season games, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at Tramway Park adjacent to Southern Lee High School, have been canceled.
Both games, which were scrapped because they don’t have playoff implications, will count as wins for the Spinners, who have finished the 2023 campaign in second place in the collegiate level Old North State League’s Central Division with a conference record of 18-13. The first place Sandhills (Pinehurst) Bogeys were 20-12.
The league’s playoffs begin Thursday, but seeding has yet to be determined. The Rant will share that information when it becomes available.
