The Friends of the Lee County Library will hold its annual book sale from Thursday to Saturday in the auditorium of the Lee County Library’s main branch at 107 Hawkins Ave.

The group will have a variety of items available including hardbacks, paperbacks, DVDs, and CDs. Prices are $2 for hardbacks, $1 for paperbacks, 50 cents for mass market paperbacks, $1 for CDs and DVDs and 50 cents for children’s books.

There will also be Friends of the Library Tote Bags available for $5.

Thursday will be Members’ Preview Night from 5 to 8 p.m. Memberships can be renewed or purchased at this time: $5 for individuals and $10 for families. Friday hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday hours will be 9 a.m. to noon. Saturday will feature “Fill a Bag for $5” and will also offer free books and materials to Lee County teachers who show their IDs.

“This event is our main fundraiser for the year, so we hope that everyone will come out and support us,” said Friends of the Library President Susan Laudate. “All money goes back to the library for programming and materials.”

The Friends began accepting donations for the sale on Monday at the main branch.

“We especially need children’s and YA books this year,” Laudate said.
