Lee County sheriff’s deputies arrested two people from Georgia on Sunday after finding 22 pounds of cocaine in their vehicle.
Yuricela Hernandez, 28, and Jose Sanchez Cruz, 39, both of Georgia, each after charges of trafficking cocaine by transport, trafficking cocaine by possession, maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Because an 11 year old child was in the vehicle, they also each face a charge of misdemeanor child abuse.
Deputies stopped the vehicle Sunday on Bailey Thomas Road and found the drugs inside a hidden compartment. They also found $40,000 in cash.
Hernandez and Cruz were brought before a Lee County Magistrate, who issued a $500,000 secured bond. On Monday, a district court judge raised both bonds to $1,000,000 secured.

Nice catch !
Now “catch” those that live in Sanford and Lee County that do the same. We have more than two people in Lee County that are dealing drugs AND running guns, but we only go after those from OUT-OF-STATE, because they are encroaching on “their” business!!
VOTE REPUBLICAN ACROSS THE BALLOT TO SAVE AMERICA AND GET RID OF THE CRIMMINALS THAT RUN LEE COUNTY!!!
Shut up
As a Republican please God C be quiet, maybe you’re too stupid to realize we have a Republican Sheriff. It’s fools like you putting out hateful post that keep people from coming together and working for a common good.
