Demtrice Green has been named principal at Rising Leaders Academy, the public charter school which occupies part of the old Kendale Shopping Center on Industrial Drive in Sanford.
Green, who has more than 20 years of education experience, most recently served as assistant principal at Beaverdam Elementary School in Raleigh, where according to an RLA press release she “played a pivotal role in improving school performance and boosting staff morale.”
“Her leadership contributed to a notable turnaround in the school’s state report card score,” the release noted.
She holds master’s degrees in school administration, human resources, and counseling, and a bachelor’s degree in health education. She lives in Cameron with her husband and two children.
Rising Leaders Academy was founded as MINA Charter School in 2020.
