Award-winning country music singer-songwriter and Sanford native Taylor Phillips will serve as grand marshal of the 2025 Sanford Christmas Parade on Monday.

The Sanford Christmas Parade is one of North Carolina’s longest-running nighttime parades. It begins at 7 p.m. Monday in downtown Sanford.

Phillips has penned major hits for some of country music’s top artists.

“We are incredibly honored to welcome Taylor Phillips as this year’s grand marshal,” said Kelli Laudate, executive director of Downtown Sanford Inc. “His journey from Sanford to national stages is a source of local pride, and having him lead our beloved parade makes this year’s celebration even more special.”

The 2025 Sanford Christmas Parade is presented by Triple Pointe Dance Academy, with support from media sponsor CBS17 News and Visit Sanford. The Sanford Christmas Parade annually brings thousands of visitors to Downtown Sanford to enjoy an evening of festive floats, marching bands, dance troupes, and community groups, continuing a cherished tradition that has brightened the holiday season for generations.
