The City of Sanford released a schedule this week for its upcoming July 4 Red, White & Blue Bash, scheduled for 5 p.m. at Kiwanis Park in Sanford.
The event will begin with live music from the Marcel Portilla Band and a hot dog eating contest at 6:30 p.m. The Fandinos will perform at 7 p.m., followed by the “Great American Dance Party” with D.J. BFree at 8:15 p.m.
Fireworks will begin at dusk.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and arrive early to enjoy a full evening of festivities that will include performances by Dancer’s Workshop and the Temple Teen Ensemble. Food trucks, face painting, a sensory zone and special giveaways will go throughout the night, and the splash pad on site will remain open until 7 p.m.
