WRAL reports that Bailey Joe Mills, one of the suspects in a recent Harnett County child porn bust, has pleaded guilty. Mills and his wife were accused in June of using their home daycare business as a front for a child porn ring.
According to WRAL’s report, Mills faces a possible life sentence for his “third strike for sex offenses.” He was arrested in 1997, 2000 and again in January on various child sex charges. Mills’ wife Elizabeth also faces related charges, although it’s unclear where her case currently stands.
The News and Observer reports that Mills’ guilty plea came in federal court and that his sentencing hearing is set for Nov. 4. The N&O’s report also contains details about Mills’ prior arrests on child molestation charges in 1997 and 2000.
The Rant reported in June that Bailey Joe and Elizabeth Mills publicly presented a wholesome image via social media, with multiple family-centered posts about protecting the innocence of children.
Sick people, three strikes before life sentence is TWO strikes to many. God Bless and protect our children, they are so trusting and innocent.
