Three of Lee County’s most prestigious golf courses – Carolina Trace’s Lake and Creek courses, as well as Tobacco Road – were featured in a nationally broadcast travel segment on the Golf Channel today. The courses were showcased as part of a broader look at golf and travel in the Pinehurst area.
Flagged by the staff at Pinehurst Resort here, where you can watch the entire 9 minute video, the segment gives some of the history behind Tobacco Road and the Trace courses and also explores the challenges offered by each. The segment appears to have been filmed back in March, based on this Facebook post from the Carolina Trace staff, as well as this tweet from Matt Ginella, the golf channel’s Morning Drive host.
