Initial forecasts of Wednesday’s snow/cyclone in North Carolina had the brunt of the storm’s snowfall falling to the east of I-95, pummeling Wilmington and the Outer Banks.
That still may happen, but Sanford — which was supposed to receive anywhere from no snow to trace amounts — got a nice little storm starting around 5 p.m. (and still falling two three four hours later as of this post).
Because of the record cold temperatures — which will stick around at least through the weekend — the snow is already crippling the roads in Lee County. The white stuff and the ice underneath it will be around a while.

Below are a few short videos we shot as the snowfall began. Please send us your shots on Facebook, and we’ll continue to update this page over the next few days.
Snow just makes every street & building look even prettier! Especially falling snow. Very nice video and pic’s
