The northern portion of Lillington continues to grow — the newest addition will be a Sheetz convenience store, scheduled to open by the end of the summer.
Work has begun on the store, which will be located on Cornelius Harnett Boulevard across from the Harnett County Courthouse and near Central Harnett Hospital. The store will be Sheetz’s first in Harnett County.
According to the Dunn Daily Record, the store will be similar in size to most other locations with 12 fuel pumps, a car wash and a small to-go restaurant on the inside.
