Sanford Video & News — otherwise known as the “adult store” or the “yellow store” — was robbed by a gunman just before midnight on Monday night, the Sanford Police Department has reported.
Detectives are searching for a young black man in his 20s, approximately 6-feet, 5-inches tall with an athletic build. They say he was wearing dark and camouflage clothing when he demanded money while brandishing a gun. According to a source who wished not to be named, the employee on duty was told to get down on his knees and put his hands on his head while the robber raided the cash register and left on foot.
Sanford Police do not know which direction he traveled following the robbery and have not released how much money was taken from the store, located at 667 S. Horner Boulevard.
