Work on Sanford’s next mural, a collaborative celebration of the various ways in which the arts intersect downtown, is under way on South Horner Boulevard.
Preparatory work priming the north facing wall of the Suggs Insurance agency appears to have begun after an Aug. 8 Facebook post by the city of Sanford’s Appearance Commission announced the mural:
The newest mural will be virtually across the street from Sanford’s first downtown mural, which went up in May of 2015. Since then, nearly a dozen more have gone up around town, with more to come. We look forward to seeing the progress on the newest addition to a program which has quickly become one of downtown’s calling cards.
