Today is Halloween, but the festivities of this magical holiday have been going on for days now.
Downtown Sanford was brimming with costume-clad children and adults on Saturday during its annual trick-or-treat celebration and the first-ever Brick City Phenomicon, which brought some much-needed cosplay to our fair burgh.
We’ve got your photos and social media posts from Saturday below.
Downtown Sanford Trick-or-Treating
Steven Ashmore Photography was on hand to capture some of the fun during Saturday’s trick-or-treat event — hundreds of kids and their families went business to business in Downtown Sanford in search of glorious candy.

Brick City Phenomicon
The other highlight of Saturday was the first Brick City Phenomicon — a daylong event that began with the Walk/Run Your Cape Off 5K, ended with the adult cosplay costume contest and in between featured film viewings, panel discussions, comics, karaoke and so much more.
Below are some of the social media posts (public ones, anyway) from the event. Come back to The Rant this afternoon for our interview with Ceirra Doll (posts below), the mastermind behind the Victorian Pennywise who roamed (graced) the streets of Downtown Sanford on Saturday.
