Don’t let the rain dampen your holiday shopping spirit today. The Saturday after Thanksgiving has become Small Business Saturday nationwide; which means there’s deals and prizes to be had in Downtown Sanford between now and Christmas.
Downtown Sanford Inc. will have a table set up at Dossenbach’s Fine Furniture on Wicker Street from 10 a.m. to noon today to kick-off DSI’s Holiday Punch Card promotion, which will run throughout the month. The first 50 shoppers at Dossenbach’s today will receive free coffee and pastries, a free “Shop Small” tote bag, a starter Holiday Punch Card and a chance to win prizes such as a Sanford mug, Temple Theatre tickets and massages from The Fringe Salon.
The Holiday Punch Card promotion returns with more than 35 participating businesses (listed below) this year. For every $10 spent at these stores, boutiques and restaurants, shoppers get a stamp. Five stamps fill your holiday punch card, which can be turned in for a chance to enter one of several big prizes, including $100 and $50 gift cards and much more. Cards can be turned in to any participating business, and winners will be drawn in the first week of January.
