What is it lately with Sanford, TV shows and fish?
The Rant got word recently that hosts Ray Brazier and Charlie Ingram of The Outdoor Channel’s “Fishing University” show, described as “America’s original ‘how to’ fishing program,” were in Sanford last week to film an episode about fishing at nearby Jordan Lake.
Sanford Mayor Chet Mann posted to Facebook on Nov. 20 about meeting with the hosts for dinner:
This is the second time in recent months that a national television show has come here to film. MTV’s “Catfish” (which is not at all about fishing in the traditional sense of the word) filmed in Sanford back in September. “Fishing University” has been on the air for over 30 years, according to its website.
We don’t have an air date for either program, but when we do, we’ll share them here.
