Basketball stars from around the ACC will come to Sanford on April 21 to face the best high school players from the area in a fun event for the whole family.

The ACC All-Stars, coached by UNC Legend Phil Ford, will consist of seniors from around the ACC, including N.C. State’s Markell Johnson, UNC’s Brandon Robinson, Duke’s Jack White, and Wake Forest’s Brandon Childress.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. at Lee County High School gym.

Proceeds from the event benefit Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County to raise money for food purchases in 2020 for Lee County residents and the Backpack Pals programs.

For over 40 years, The Sumner Group has sponsored and coordinated the ACC Barnstorming Tour. Over the years, the Tour has provided a rare up-close-and-personal look at such standout players as Michael Jordan, Len Bias, Dereck Whittenburg, Tyler Hansbrough, Nolan Smith, and Tyler Zeller to fans of all ages across the southeastern United States.

This year’s tour will consist of eight games over three weeks following the completion of the NCAA Final Four in April.

In addition to the basketball games, each stop will also consist of a 3-point contest and a dunk contest. Players will be available following the game for a limited autograph session with general admission ticket holders.

VIP ticket holders will enjoy reserved front row seating to the game, a post-game reception with the ACC All-Stars, and a photo/autograph session. A portion of the proceeds from each game will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

“We’re proud to give our community quality family entertainment that parents, grandparents and kids can enjoy together and create memories that last a lifetime,” CUOC’s Executive Director, Teresa Kelly said. “Every game is one-of-a-kind because the team plays against local competitors. It’s a night filled with laughter, comedy and slam dunks, all to benefit the local community.”

Tickets are on sale at Piggly Wiggly of Sanford and the CUOC Thrift Store as well as online at
