Lee County Government confirmed eight new cases of the Coronavirus on Wednesday afternoon, bringing the county’s total to 290. The announcement came just a few hours after the county announced a third resident had died from COVID-19.
The recovered number remained at 116 on Wednesday.
The county only discloses demographic information – age range and gender – of those who have tested positive. The information is reported on a 24 hour delay, so the eight new cases announced Wednesday are not included below.
But of the 282 cases reported through Tuesday, 55 percent were female and 45 percent were male. There were 43 cases in people under 24, 117 between 25 and 44, 105 between 45 and 64, and 17 who were 65 or older.
