Twenty new COVID-19 cases have been identified in Lee County since Tuesday, the health department announced, bringing the total number of people here who have tested positive to 616.

Three of the new cases were identified on Tuesday, and 17 were identified Wednesday. There have been six COVID-related deaths in Lee County.

The number of patients who had recovered increased by 17 to 433 on Wednesday.

The county only discloses demographic information – age range and gender – of those who have tested positive. The information is reported on a 24 hour delay, so the 17 new cases announced Wednesday are not included below.

But of the 585 cases reported through Sunday, 53 percent were female and 47 percent were male. There were 120 cases in people under 24, 235 between 25 and 44, 196 between 45 and 64, and 48 who were 65 or older.
