Jeni Ezell Harris has been named elections director in Lee County, according to a press release issued Thursday.
Harris replaces Parker Holland, who left the position on May 11 for a job with the North Carolina State Board of Elections. She started on Thursday.
“I appreciate the opportunity to serve the public and ensure fair and accessible elections for our residents,” said Harris. “I also grew up in Sanford and I am excited to be back home to work and raise my family. I look forward to working with the Lee County Board of Elections and the broader Lee County community.”
Harris comes to Lee County from the Harnett County Elections Office, where she worked for the past four years as an election technician. She graduated from Campbell University in December 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in IT Management and recently completed her work to become a Certified Elections Administrator through the North Carolina Board of Elections.
