Lee County government reported Thursday that 39 new COVID-19 cases had been confirmed since Monday, bringing the total number of residents who have tested positive to 2,192.
281 of the cases were active as of Thursday – up from 242 on Monday – and 1,889 have recovered. There have been 22 lab confirmed COVID deaths in Lee County.
Details about individuals who have tested positive are not disclosed in accordance with health privacy laws, but the state’s COVID dashboard does offer some demographic data and other metrics. According to the dashboard, Lee County’s rolling seven day average for new cases as of Thursday was 12.57 – down from 14 on Monday – and the percent positive rate was 9.4, up from 9 percent on Monday.
