Lee County government reported 77 new COVID-19 cases since Monday, bringing the total number of residents who have tested positive to 2,763.

The number of active cases also increased from 299 to 375 in the same time period. 2,353 people have recovered, and 35 have died, including three this week.

Identifying information about patients isn’t disclosed, but the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services COVID dashboard does have some demographic information. According to the dashboard, the rolling seven day average for new cases jumped from 25.71 on Monday to 30.71 on Thursday, while the percent positive rate increased from from 9.9 to 10.6 in the same time period.
