An arrest was made Thursday night in the Wednesday murder of a 20-year-old Sanford man.
Markee Watson, 21, of Sanford was arrested at the Econo Lodge on Comfort Lane at 7:55 p.m. Thursday and was booked into Lee County Jail. He faces one count of first degree murder for shooting Wendell Hill, a former student at Southern Lee High School.
According to WWGP News, witnesses reported that Hill was shot in the chest area and was found in his backyard at 502 Pineland Street in Sanford.
According to Sanford Police, Watson is being held with no bond.
