Sanford’s second Dunkin’ Donuts location opened Wednesday at 2231 Jefferson Davis Highway in Tramway.
A newly-designed “store of the future,” the location includes “next generation design” and “a modern atmosphere,” according to a press release from the company. Design elements include cold beverages poured from a tap system and an area dedicated to mobile pickups.
“Dunkin’s next generation stores have been exceedingly well-received, and we are proud to bring this innovative restaurant to the community,” said Pathik Patel, the store’s franchisee. “The new modern design and technology updates will grab the attention of Dunkin’ fans old and new.”
Patel also presented a check to Dunkin’s JOY in Childhood Foundation for $5,000 and $2,500 to the USO of North Carolina, and 50 lucky folks got passes for free coffee for a year.
The restaurant is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
