Two New York women were arrested Thursday on prostitution charges, according to the Sanford Police Department.
Xiaochao Gao, 34, and Um Kyung Ae, 56, both of Flushing, N.Y. are each charged with felony promoting prostitution by providing an establishment, felony conspiracy, misdemeanor aiding and abetting prostitution, and misdemeanor practicing massage therapy without a license.
Gao and Ae were charged around 10:30 a.m. Thursday after the Sanford Police Department’s narcotics division executed a search warrant at King Spa and Reflexology, 715 N. Horner Blvd., following a “several month long investigation.”
An SPD press release indicated the department had received complaints about prostitution at that location. Gao and Ae were jailed on $50,000 secured bond.
The incident marks the second prostitution bust in Sanford since August, when the owner of the Healthy Feet massage parlor at 340 Wilson Road was arrested on similar charges. SPD officials were not available Friday morning to say if the two operations had any connection.
Fantastic another one bites the dust great job SPD I think you should release their black books to knock a lot of people off of their pedestals and shatter some glass houses….
As a society we need to continue moving out of the stone age and begin acknowledging certain facts of life. Decriminalizing prostitution is a step in the right direction. It is a ridiculous waste of our law enforcement resources. Legalization would reduce crime, improve public health, increase tax revenue, help people out of poverty, get sex workers off the streets, and allow consenting adults to make their own choices. The only thing standing in the way of legalization happening are these old prudes who contend the profession is immoral.
It’s better, easier and cheaper to move to a place where it is already legal like NV or Amsterdam.
