The Lee County Health Department distributed the last of the N95 masks provided by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday and does not have any additional N95 masks to hand out at this time.

The department is working to acquire more masks and once received, will update residents and reestablish dates and times for all who wish to pick up a free mask to be able to do so.

“Our N95 mask distribution strategy was very effective and we are thankful for all who came and were able to pick up their free N95 masks,” said Lee County Health Director Heath Cain. “Since we began January 24, the Health Department distributed 7,300 N95 masks to our residents. This will help us to protect our community and mitigate this virus.”
