Starting Monday, February 14, the Lee County Health Department will again be providing N95 masks to all Lee County residents.
The Health Department will offer the N95 masks at the Lee County Government Center, located at 106 Hillcrest Drive, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. An area will be designated on the first floor for mask pickup. A maximum of three N95 masks will be provided per resident ages 12 and up.
Lee County first began distributing the masks in late January, but ran out quickly.
“We saw a huge demand for N95 masks and distributed over 7,000 in less than three days,” said Lee County Health Director Heath Cain. “We ordered more and they are now here. The Health Department wants to aid in the protection of public health and these N95 masks help to provide that protection from COVID-19. This type of mask is shown to mitigate the spread of the virus. There is a spot for your N95 mask.”
And that my friends is why the mask mandates are coming to an end. The regular cloth masks were fun and fashionable….the n95 are brutal!! Now (decades ago) that SCIENCE has proven (the cat is out of the bag) cloth masks are virtually useless in stopping the spread, N95 are the next logical answer. But again, they are BRUTAL to wear all day. And how many of the super mask super vaxxed people are actually wearing them? I do not see them ANYWHERE….so….just end the pandemic now…..the science is loosed and masks don’t work well with my hair style…..
