Sanford police announced an arrest in a Monday night shooting that left a man injured.
Robert Bernard Fox III, 20, of Lee Avenue in Sanford faces one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Fox is accused of shooting Alex Trujillo in the neck at a residence on Maple Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Officers said Fox was arrested without incident at a home on Hickory Avenue around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said Tuesday that Trujillo was in stable condition at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Fox was placed in the Lee County Jail under $50,000 secured bond.
