UPDATE: Sanford police announced an arrest in this case Tuesday afternoon.
ORIGINAL STORY: Police are investigating after a 20-year-old Sanford man was shot in the neck Monday night.
Officers responded to 419 Maple Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Monday and found Alex Trujillo, 20, with a gunshot wound to the neck. Trujillo was taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police didn’t release any further information about the shooting.
