Mariscos No. Juan, a Mexican seafood restaurant owned by the same people who brought Fonda Lupita to Sanford, opened on June 12.

The restaurant is located at 129 W. Main St. in the original Fonda Lupita location.

Owner Biridiana Frausto said business the first week has been good. Mariscos – the Spanish word for seafood – features dishes like ceviche, fish and shrimp tacos and tostadas, as well as rotating specials. Frausto said diners can expect a “fast casual” concept similar to the one Fonda Lupita uses.

Mariscos No. Juan is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends.

Frausto shared some photos of the food with us, and you can look at the menu here. Exciting.
